Privacy Policy

1. Overview

EduViz ("we," "us," or "our"), available at eduviz.app, generates animated, narrated teaching videos from a written description. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using EduViz, you consent to the practices described below.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

We support sign-in with Google only. When you sign in, we receive from Google:

• Your name and email address
• Your Google profile picture
• An authentication identifier used to keep your account secure

We never see or store your Google password.

Billing Information

• Subscription tier, video allowance, and payment status
• Transaction identifiers from our payment processor, Stripe
• Billing address when required by regulation

Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never store your full card number.

Prompts & Generated Content

• The topics and instructions you submit to generate a video
• Optional notes you attach when regenerating a panel
• The lesson plans, storyboards, narration, and videos the Service produces for you, and technical metadata (duration, language, render status) needed to deliver them

Technical Data

• Device type, browser, and operating system
• IP address and approximate region
• Session cookies or secure tokens to keep you logged in
• Limited log data used to troubleshoot errors, combat abuse, and improve generation quality

We do not intentionally collect names, grades, or other personal information about students. Please do not include such data in your prompts.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Deliver the Service: generate, render, store, and play back your videos
• Process payments, manage your video allowance, and prevent fraud
• Send transactional email (sign-in, receipts, generation results)
• Diagnose failures in the generation pipeline and improve output quality
• Enforce our Terms of Service and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your prompts or generated videos to advertise to you.

4. AI Processing

Generating a video requires sending your prompt and the resulting lesson script to third-party AI model providers (large language models and text-to-speech services) for processing. We send only what is necessary for generation — never your name, email, or billing details. These providers process the content to produce your video and are contractually restricted from using it for other purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

We share data only with processors necessary to run the Service:

• Google — authentication (Sign in with Google)
• Stripe — payment processing
• AI model providers — prompt and script processing for video generation (see Section 4)
• Hosting and storage providers — running the application and storing your generated videos
• Analytics — privacy-respecting, aggregated product analytics

Each provider receives only the minimum data needed to perform its function.

6. Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active.
• Generated videos and their source materials are retained so you can revisit and re-download them, until you delete them or your account.
• Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging, then deleted.

7. Your Rights

You may, at any time:

• Access and update your account information in Settings
• Delete your generated videos
• Delete your account, which removes your personal information and generated content from our systems (some records, such as invoices, may be retained where the law requires)
• Contact us to exercise any data-protection right available under the laws of your region (including GDPR and CCPA rights where applicable)

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage of authentication secrets, scoped access controls, and payment handling delegated entirely to Stripe. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to protect access to your Google account.

9. Children's Privacy

EduViz is intended for adults — teachers, researchers, engineers, and creators. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
